I Write A Letter Poem by Corvette Nezumi Mikazuki

I Write A Letter

I Write A Letter
Only your name is mentioned
I hear your voice drift away
“are you becoming a memory now? ”

I keep calling
Why don’t you answer me?
I feel your presence drift away
“are you only a memory now? ”

My voice travels the wind
I feel like you’ve muted my voice
The voices echo drifts away
”am I just a memory to you now? ”

A note drifts
Only your name is mentioned
I hear my voice
”I am nothing to you…”

My letter traveled the wind
Why has it returned with no reply?
My own voice fades
“is this my fate? ”

No-one can hear me
My echo has faded
My presence drifted away
The memory is faded
“is this all that’s left? ”
