Antonio Dias (Hamilton, Ontario)
If I Could See
If I could see what's in your mind
Then I would know the truth
About everything you've said and done;
I'd no longer need to sleuth.
If I could see what's in my heart
Then I could know what I truly feel
Because I don't know how I feel about you
Or if my wounds will ever heal.
If I could see what's in between us
Then I would know which way to head
Because I'm being tugged back and forth
And I don't know what's ahead.
If I could see just what you feel
Then I would know what you want from me -
If I'm a friend, or maybe something more,
Or if I'm just your spare key.
