If Love Came In Spurts Poem by William Ryan

If Love Came In Spurts

If love only came in spurts

A lot less people would be hurt

The meaning no need to find

Because we'd really not have the time

Long term plans would be a waste

Love would come and go in haste

And at times we wouldn't even care

If for now Love wasn't there

Life would be simple and some what a breeze

Think of the pressures this could ease

But we all want Love that will last

So into the world our net is cast

And if true Love you one day find

It will be from the heart and not at all from the mind

So if you feel you've found the one

Just remember, the work has only just begun!
