If The World Bombs Back. Poem by Merlene Campbell

If The World Bombs Back.

So calm you could hear song of day
Nothing moves nothing swayed.
The house creaks and settles it's quiet
Alone awakened naturally calmly
The house shakes a thunderous rumble of a bomb in the distance
There will be another in a few moments as the base practices for the day.
Too many politics too many countries it is a reminder we are at war with the world.
The morning ritual and a cup of coffee alone waiting and then wondering.
Will today be the day the world bombs back?
Waiting for my kids to come home because I won’t want to be alone.
If the world bombs back.

I like this poem. You get your feelings across well. There are some big bombs out there, they don't just go bang! Wishing you peace from England ;)
