If You Are 60 Poem by Dorothy Good

If You Are 60

Rating: 5.0

If You’re 60…
You come to realize…
Flowers & duct tape can fix
Anything…
A 5 day vacation requires
only 1 small suitcase…
more pills than clothes…
You can see humor in an all
day fishing trip and no fish…
Going 40mph
you can quietly enjoy the ride…
Your hackles don’t rise when
they mistake you for a
Senior Citizen…
The occasional belch
is expected…
You get extra credit for the
slightest act of thoughtfulness…
If something doesn’t work…
you can bash it with a hammer
and throw it across the room…
There are knowing looks
when you forget…
When you repeat a story,
they are forgiving…
You can get away with the nostalgic
phrase…those good ole days…
