Love feeds on love, so true. Neruda's poems are always full of feeling and they will move you a lot. Although reading him in original Spanish is a much more complete experience. (Report) Reply

To My Dear Poet Pablo Neruda on...If You Forget Me!

How to forget you my dear poet,
As one of my favourite poem is in air.
Today, I want to sing openly few lines on love
Since you are no more to listen to me dear.

I have not uttered any words of love to anyone.
For I fear, my fragile heart will be broken and mended very often.

But I fear you no more, as you have a heart of gold.
For I felt none so near as I find you closer to my heart.
Remember, my dear, only for you I have kept my heart open!
For, I am too poor or may be a fear to write any poems on love.
So openly, you write poems on love.

How to forget you my dear poet
My heart beats, right only for you.
As you taught me how to write Fantastic poems on love.

Though the words you poured out from your heart,
But it had passed like lightening through my heart.
You have send me a few sparks of love from thy heaven
Which set my heart on fire.

Please do come down from heaven to extinguish the fire you have set in!
How to forget you my dear poet as love is still in air!

    With Love, Your's.................Geetha Jayakumar

    I especially love these lines;

    as if everything that exists,
    aromas, light, metals,
    were little boats
    that sail
toward those isles of yours that wait for me. (Report) Reply

Poem of the Day

poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

I heard the bells on Christmas day
Their old familiar carols play,
And wild and sweet the words repeat
Of peace on earth, good will to men.
