Ignorant Anti Vaccination Groups Poem by Daya Nandan

i cannot understand how some parents can be so idiotic,
Choosing not vaccinate their young, leaving our land chaotic,
These anti- vaccination groups are a plague on our land,
Causing death and infection by thousands by their hand,

Imagine babies and children dying from preventable diseases,
Young lives being swept away by the warm tropical breezes,
These unvaccinated children are mediums for preventable infections,
That infect and kill so many innocents of many nations,

i cannot stand it when parents refuse to vaccinate their young,
When they spew out baseless allegations with their ignorant tongue,
Vaccines cause autism? Vaccines are a hoax to make money?
They think vaccination is a joke, they think this blessing is funny,

They say hate vaccinations because of the chemicals inside,
Yet they steadily consume process food, an argument they often hide,
Their unvaccinated young are a threat to others around,
They spread diseases that might put children six feet underground,

They don't know what our forefathers went through before vaccination,
How people used to suffer and die in our nation,
Polio, Diphtheria, tetanus, & pertussis were so common back then,
That would kill and bury children six feet under in death's den,

Some parents these days do not appreciate what we have now,
They do not understand the meaning behind our Hippocratic vow,
Faking vaccination documentation, refusing our life saving gifts,
Yet they come to us when their child's health needs a few lifts,

Some avoid all prevention and often delay treatment for days,
And bring their child when it is late and we are running out of ways,
And at the end they will blame us although they play a major role,
In keeping their children safe in mind, body and soul,

They weaken the herd immunity that we use for protection,
By becoming the host for diseases to spread in our nation,
Foreigners with questionable vaccination status are already here,
Bringing back diseases that we believed vaccines made disappear,

I hope these ignorant parents will soon realise and learn,
Before their young pay the price and their children they yearn,
I hope these people open their eyes before it is too late,
i hope at rate we are going, their ignorance does not seal our fate!
