I'll Be Waiting Poem by Randy McClave

I'll Be Waiting

We spent a lifetime together
You as a girlfriend, wife, best friend and mother,
You are the woman who I wanted as a forever
As a best friend, and also as a lover.
I had spend decades waiting just for you,
For a love, and a women, so true

I have waited for you ever since
And I am glad for the day that you arrived,
You have made my house a home and me a prince
My soul you had truly revived.
For you I have always prayed for and waited,
A great life for me you had created.

I had waited seemingly forever for you to say yes
Waited and waited and waited a little more,
Then you finally became my Mrs
You're the woman who I truly adore.
Remember this, you were worth the waiting,
You were worth the knowing and the dating.

Unto heaven I'll be leaving first
But, happily I'll be leaving before your call,
If you left first in tears I would most certainly burst
Without you my life I would had constantly tripped up and fall.
Though if you happen to come late,
Don't worry, I'll be there waiting for you at the pearly gate.
