Imperfection Poem by NRUSINGHA MISHRA

Imperfection

Human mind naturally inclined to achieve perfection often ends in fear and anxiety
Frustrated with the level of accomplishment away from a state of sobriety
World seems to be confusing with all the opposite values side by side
Truth vs lie, pleasure vs pain, good vs bad, strong vs weak and narrow vs wide
Wishing ideal situations looking for absolute prefect conditions to flourish
Looking for Divine intervention magically removing all kinds of blemish
Looking for the proof to see that Divine comes from heaven appearing in beautiful form
Speaks with soft enchanting voice wiping the tears and eliminating suffering like soothing balm
In stead He never comes and remains invisible presenting Himself that mind can not fathom
Keeps reappearing in imperfect varied shapes and figures defying the common wisdom
Realization that absence of light is darkness is hard to digest as it takes courage to lit the candle
It takes a clear heart not the intellect or mind or eyes to experience the Divine at the pinnacle
Truth is beyond our understanding and striving to grasp is stressful and futile
Accept with full faith, focus on present and look to future for freedom which is worthwhile
Perfection is beyond our common understanding and living in imperfection brings peace
Think beyond what we see as incomplete to propel our imagination in vacuum and space
