In Love With A Lunatic Poem by nadia abduljabbar

In Love With A Lunatic

When you are in love with
A lunatic you find yourself
One day above the Milky way
With huge beautiful countless
Stars and planets,
The other day,
Or may be after some hours,
You are kicked and told
The story has an end.

When you are in love
With a lunatic,
You just get so confused,
He insists to pull you
To his world of pure
Imagination
Or he will
Accuse you of deserting
Him.
He wants you to be
Satisfied with a proposal,
A ring,
And honeymoon bed
On the TV or net,
And if you object
And say I want
Real things,
He replies:
This is what I
Have take it
Or leave it;
And when you leave,
Then you are betraying
Him.

If you say I just want
To talk,
He says: we said enough,
And when you are silent
He asks: Why are you silent?
He even says:
I have gave you everything,
And in fact you are
The one who gave
Opportunities.

When you are
In love with a lunatic
You contemplate secret
Marriage,
And signing in the marriage contract
Saying you want no inheritance
Just to insure him
You want him for
Only for himself,
But even if you do things
As such,
And take the risk of secret
Marriage,
He would tell you,
You do not love me
Enough.

When you are in love
With a lunatic,
You will destroy yourself,
Before satisfying him.

If this happen to you twice,
Then, beware, you are attracting
Mad men
To yourself.
