In My Ignorance Poem by Raymond Valadez

In My Ignorance

with every kiss i give i try to separate myself from you
in every look i render when i surrender to their arms
all that i cause is to grieve my love for you and cause it more harm

with every i love your eyes
i become a liar because its only your blue eyes that i desire
and in their lips i find no comfort

i set out painfully through life with only your beauty on my mind
how do i cope with this reality i call nothing more than pure insanity

Beloved, tell me fate was all wrong for separating a love so strong
and maybe one day destiny could defeat fate all along

yes i am completely yours, everything about me reflects you.
your essence escapes me in everything i do. and in all my action you are my one
companion, you my Beloved have consumed my whole existence.
