In Our Minds Poem by Brian Kilpatrick

In Our Minds

If I could look within
In slices sliced all so thin
Would I see
How you see me
Am I all that you supposed
Me to be
My truth is not that easy
For anyone to see
Especially for me
For there is so little time
For truth that is my mind
Walls there are
Freedom there is little
That easily moves
Through the middle
Passing or failing
The test of time
That is always going on
In our minds
