When I enter the flat
All the lights are turned off
And the darkness so thick
It would close in on me
If I plunged there headlong.
So I dive, eyes wide shut.
I reach out and touch.
Things that kept to themselves
Open up and reveal
Clues I can't disregard.
And I feel that some wall
Hides a door, locked for long.
But for me it'll unlock:
I'll swim out ~~~~~~~~~
Perfect image - darkness like water, diving in and swimming in! Love this!
Loved this. Full of great imagery and very atmospheric. Hugs Anna xxx

Another excellent poem. It has a dreamlike quality that enables the reader to feel that sense of swimming in darkness feeling for familiar objects and the way out.
