In recognition


They spoke nothing and looked forward
Not conversed a word
Just thanked each other
And smiled for her

What had she to offer?
Not a word to utter
But head down with shyness
And bearing smile on face

Eyes slowly go up in acknowledgement
With heavy movement
In mind and elsewhere
But with no fear

There is lot more
To explore
When meet alone
So much water has flowed or gone

Heart beats faster
With lot more to offer
In recognition
Of long bond and association
