In Retrospect
We all know
how easy it is
to be witty
in retrospect
when not on the spot
with an interview question
or when engaged
in rapid comments
made in free spoken
general conversation
one of these
spontaneous
comments made
will get us all
in due course
if we talk long enough
in general terms
without fore thought
pondering all angles
or political ramifications.

Well said....................sometimes it's the things people think but never say that make a good poem because it's reassuring to find that other people think the same thoughts as we all think.... Ruth :) my nose has disappeared from that smiley....give it back thief :)))))
