In Sadness Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

In Sadness

In sadness

How closely we spent days?
And found ways
To remain hand in hand
When we were only called child

I remember about hurt
That I caused when you started
To ride on horse
I hurled stone that fractured your hand of course

I was feeling guilty
Mother called me sick and dirty
He was in pain
I remained restless then

Today you are not among us
But still we miss
Your cry really moved me with grief
You never scolded me even for brief

I pray
For your comfortable stay
And sing in sadness
I really feel no goodness

In Sadness
