In The Car We Drove

In
The
Car
We
Drove
And
DroveAnd
It
Was
Night
Flew
By
The
Houses
And
The
Shops
Lighted
L ights
And
Restaurants
And
Entertainme nt
Flew
Flew
But
We
Drove
On
And
On
We
Heard
The tapping on the
Pane
We
Saw
Arrogantly
The
Car door opened
Half forcefully:
And
In
The strange
Shadow-Man
Went
Told
Us
To
Drive
And
Soon
In
The
Ba ck
Seat
We Had
A rattling skeleton

poet Robert Frost

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
