In The World Of Grief Poem by Shalom Freedman

In The World Of Grief

Rating: 4.5

In the world of grief
Each new grief
Brings back older griefs
And the present is often
Overwhelmed by the past
More painful parting-

And perhaps I do not still love her
But am unable to forget
The love and hope and happiness
We had for so many years
Before it quite suddenly
Ended forever.

Deeply touched by the sorrow expressed in the poem. A nice poem with an apt caption. Loved the comment of Bernard F. Asuncion - 'Such a forlorn sight written in tears.....'
