Infatuation Poem by Valerie Dohren

Infatuation

Rating: 4.8

Bedazzled by the burning sun
Enchanted by the moon
Enamoured by your loving kiss
Enraptured all too soon

So captivated by your charms
You took my breath away
It seemed that I could never live
Without you through each day

But swiftly as it came to be
Yet quickly it did pass
For now those stormy passions felt
Lie crushed as shattered glass

The flame that leapt within my heart
Is now a dying ember
And as I look into your eyes
That flame I can`t remember

Oh Valerie so beautiful, the purity of love the flame so strong and than ego comes in the nature takes over and love so deeply inflamed is just a shadow still burning but overpowered by something else. Sublime as always! love, kasia

A good poem well expressed, it comes and almost as inexplicably it goes.

Wow that was amazing....infatuation can be there one minute gone the next, I can really relate to this poem! I especially liked the concluding verse: The flame that leapt within my heart Is now a dying ember And as I look into your eyes That flame I can`t remember You are a really talented writer!
