Innocence Poem by Katherine Pinero

Innocence

Rating: 5.0

Beyond those mountains of grief,
Uphill to the sorrow's cliff,
Beyond the forest of illusion
And the rivers of lies and deception.

A fortress was build to kept
So strong that didn't tilt.
To kept what is beyond what is sought,
Are valleys and plains no one thought.

Beyond the island of humanity
Are humans full of cruelty,
Beyond the sands of infinity,
People sold their own dignity.

The world is such a big place,
But the child in the fortress
Saw the beauty beyond what is taught,
That beyond those beyonds of the world,

There's a room for beauty that's what she thought.
