Intellectual Property Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Intellectual Property

Who will allow themselves,
Repeatedly to say publicly...
Of having their intellectual property,
Stolen.
And...
With a straight face have that believed.
When most of their products produced,
Are refused because of the quality.
As the people demand,
Imported goods for their reliability.
To expect this to understand.
Yet...
Those who claim,
Their intellectual property,
Has been stolen by the ones importing.
What prevents them,
From producing quality products to make.
Is it the expense of it.
Or their inability to plagiarize,
From a good thing.
Incapable to reproduce,
The same quality of the original.
To have the people believe,
What they demand from somewhere else...
Could actually be purchased,
From those they know.
However...
Those they know,
Want too much paid for their lip service.
