Into the night
The light that looked a sun
Now fainter goes
And fades:
The hooting of the car
As from the tunnel it passeth
And in the long long tunnel
The sound of the loud horns
Is sucked by the dark tunnel of the night
And where the Night passeth
Is marked by dewy paces in the morn
Glistening in the eternal dawn.
