Ire And Passion Poem by Louise Tredoux

Ire And Passion

I love it when the anger flashes
in your eyes like lightning, your
mouth forms an angry thin line
while you remonstrate with guilty
culprits deserving of punishment;
then you turn to me, the lightning
is replaced with the warmth of love,
your lips form into a smile; I know
you don’t include me in your anger
and the passion you show in your
ire will manifest later in your
sweet desire…
