Is Love Only To Be A Disaster? Poem by Fired Heart

Every time I used to fall;
Each time hitting the ground harder and harder.
I haven’t fallen for a long time;
Is that because I have grown more cautious?
Or have I become a lot smarter?

I can’t shake it off, this need to fly.
That doesn’t mean I will give up
And surrender to some smooth talking charmer.

I want someone beautiful
From the inside out,
Who kisses a smile onto my face
And makes my sides ache with laughter.

Someone who doesn’t need to ask how I feel;
They instinctively know.
He will be filled with a yearning fire
That will capture my heart,
As she burns with this aimless desire.

I want to throw caution to the wind,
And instead of taking things slow
I want to meet the one to make me want to go faster.

Someone un-controlling who is passionate and strong
Who knows in a relationship
There is not supposed to be a follower
Or a master.

Where is this person?
The one who is going to break to my chain
Of loving hate and disaster?
