It Gets Better

how could i sleep tonight when
my mind is not with me so far
i waited for that quiet moment
fleeting, hard to catch this day
i tried to create story for me
but it didn't work, it should be

i listen to music to soothe my
my thoughts, instead i dream of you
this very time i have memories
we share; you and me; walls of dream
i run my finger on my lips to stop
but it keeps on going like a movie

Poem of the Day

poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

I heard the bells on Christmas day
Their old familiar carols play,
And wild and sweet the words repeat
Of peace on earth, good will to men.
