It Glows Red Poem by Clesec Swahn

It Glows Red

Not bright but soft.
Not like a ruby it's ephemeral, not solid.
Small like a glowing eye.
You can't touch it, though trust me we have all tried.
We have tried even though we have watched others try,
because maybe it will be different when I try.
That's right it's not just me but all of us, there are others.
We stare at its brilliant glow.
We stare even though it sickens us.
Even though it shows us horrors that bend the imagination towards madness.
One often thinks to look away but the thought of it just that, never a reality.
Sometimes we talk about it while we stare.
We try to decipher what it is.
It's pointless since it has no physical form.
Nothing to experience with the senses aside from the glow.
Death/Life, you can't touch it, though trust me we have all tried.
Small like a glowing red eye.
Not like a ruby it's ephemeral, not solid.
Not bright but soft.
It glows red.
