It only hurts

It only hurts when i breath
when i breath your posion air
and i know you've been there
it only hurts when i open my eyes and
see all the world has destroyed
all the dead girls and boys
it only hurts when i move
gravity pulls my under ground
it only hurts when i run
away from all pain
it only hurts when i cry
tears making there canals
burning down my face
it only hurts when it hurts

I understand this in several ways. You say it only hurts, but in this case saying that amplifies it to the reader (Report) Reply

Nice write Kitty. I have to breath the poison of society, it smells. I breath shallow. Even when it feels good, there's always the waiting for it to feel bad again, so there's rarely any enjoyment. Whatever you do, don't read my poems. Peace. (Report) Reply

Poem of the Day

poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

I heard the bells on Christmas day
Their old familiar carols play,
And wild and sweet the words repeat
Of peace on earth, good will to men.
