It's A Big Freaking Deal Poem by David Knox

It's A Big Freaking Deal

Don't you get it? I've told you about What is said
You see right into me, I'm the open book, the one you've already read!
I'm not sure how many times I have to tell you that things matter
Every scathing word makes that broken piece of mirror shatter
Every sharp word is like a dagger but you wield them like flowers
But you hand them out like the rain gives us showers
I can't seem to get through to you that all these little things add up
I can't seem to get through to you that you've filled my cup
I can't seem to get through to you that I can't take anymore
I cant seem to get through to you that this heart, yeah that's the one you tore
Cause all your little words and insults
All your little attacks and assaults
It's a big freaking deal
Cause when you walk away I'm not sure you realize the pain is real
Cause when you walk away I wonder if you know your power
I wonder if you know that I'm thinking about you hour by hour
It's hard for me to reconcile if my feelings to you or good or bad
Right now you've not even said anything to tick me off
And still I'm in the bad feelings mode, on my rant, cough cough
Can i say this any more plainly? ! you make me sad
I'm sorry I've been so harsh
Maybe I'm just being selfish
But this is about as one-sided as a relationship could ever be!
And THATS the best part you're not even in a relationship with me
You're just killing me subconsciously
So yeah this is a big deal
I'm not sure if or when these wounds heal
I doubt you'll ever see my scars
You're too blinded by money, fame, beauty, other guys and their cars
I think I'm way too hard on you and this is probably just my vent
But maybe you'll never see this, but I hope you know you've made a dent
An everlasting mark on this life of mine
If I gave this to you to read I wonder if you'd even make it to this line
But I guess all I really have to say is NOT 'No worries' like I normally do
It's a big freaking deal, maybe when you're not blind you'll see
That you've hurt me
And hopefully THAT is a big freaking deal to you
