It's been five long years since you went away
But it seems as though it was only yesterday
We still love you as much now as we did then
God gave you to us and God took you home
But he told us this is my way and it will be through all my days
He does not do it for spite
Because he loves us with all his might
We still have a hurt in our hearts, but it will soon be filled
For our God is slowly letting it heal
Your children and grandchildren have not forgotten you and never will
We tell them what a loveing and careing man that you were
Hardworking and did God's will
I'm proud to let people know you were my father
And I was proud to be the Black Smith's daughter
An excellent composition my friend! I've known the pain of which you speak. It's interesting how death seems to have brought them a bit nearer. Please read my poem 'Is Not Perception.....Reality.' Thanks, be well.
Dearest Bernice, What a beautiful tribute! ! ! What a loving daughter you are, and so blessed to have had such a wonderful daddy. Well done sweet lady! ! ! !

Bernice, thank you for sharing this wonderful tribute. It's good to grieve, but one should never let grief destroy wonderful memories and it doesn't appear that you are. My best to you Ron
