It's Called Breakup 'Cause It's Broken

My friends they were right.
You did indeed like me.
But you and me together.
Wasn't ment to be.

Which is why it didnt last.
Not even one month long.
But near to the end.
Everything felt wrong.

We never held hands.
We didnt even kiss.
Just one awkward hug.
That i don't really miss.

We tried to talk.
But there wasn't much to say.
Hello, whats up.
Like any other day.

I blame it on my friends.
I wasnt going to say yes.
They started it all.
They created this mess.

So let's go back to normal.
Make things like before.
You could poke me bug me.
You could even do more.

I just wish things were different.
So they wouldnt change.
So Saturday was saturday.
and we were the same.

But thats not how it works.
We broke up, thats the end.
And at this very moment.
I doubt we'll stay friends.

It's just too awkward.
That's the cliché of youth.
Young love that never grows old.
But heres some truth.

I cant pick the good guy.
And he sure can't pick me.
I'm not decent they say.
So alone I will be.

But I'm not scared or sad.
I know I'll make it through.
And I'll find a different guy.
One better than you.
