There once was a lady who won over my heart
I was convinced that we'd never be apart
I loved her so and she loved me back
Towards eternal happiness we were on track
Her eyes they shimmered, her hair it glowed
Whenever I saw heart my heart never slowed
Her voice wrapped me up in a cocoon
All of this and more was a boon
Then things changed as I screwed up
Now on a most bitter feast do I sup
I am gone from her heart but she not from mine
Now I cry myself to sleep time after time
I miss her and need her and miss her some more
I am still enraptured by her allure
But it does not good for now there's another
Ever in my heart the thought does smother
I would give anything, everything to have her back
But that's a pipe dream for everything I do lack
Never again shall we be one
It's over now, over and done
