It Started With A Girl Poem by Riley Maxwell Hefron

It Started With A Girl

It started with a girl, and it will end with a girl,
To live and regret, learn and forget,
We lived together, bound by a key to connect.
A key not to a home, or any residential mess,
But a key to my heart, for which we will miss,
You showed me a culture, of which i don't understand,
Forever will i remember, how you held my hand.
Though the seasons will pass, we shall last,
Forever in memory, forever in heart.

You wrote me a letter, for which i always read,
I cannot go through this torment, and injustful creed,
For i sit here, hand in hand,
Writing you a poem, i hope you understand.
Will you do me the honour, to be my queen,
You can live in South Africa, or Australia,
As if it's your own made up dream.

Travel the world, and be with me,
As my queen, you wont have to act so keen.
We shared a dream, we lived a life,
Together you and me, were meant to be.
It started with a girl, and it will end with a girl,
September 25th you left me with a kiss,
And to this day, i forever will miss.
