Jamie Poem by Randy McClave

Jamie

She told me that she was tired
I was truly uninspired,
As she walked, and also talked
As though she was retired.
I then told her to run,
And do it not just for fun.

She told me that she was weary
Then she got a little teary,
As she exercised, I supervised
Excuses was my theory.
I then told her to kick her legs higher,
I put her on fire.

She told me that she was drained
She sounded a little weepy and complained,
As she went another round, to the bells sound
But, she was getting trained.
I told her to do more crunches,
And also to throw more punches.

She told me that she had won her bout
Because of her exercises and training all out,
I was given a thank you, because of her debut
In her strength and skill I never had a doubt.
Training she no longer refuses,
And no longer does she whine, or give excuses.
