(Accra-Ghana)

Janice

I know a gentleman you know
whose eyes are on you
I know you know that I know
The things he says about you

He says he loves you
And that he deems no wrong
To fall in love with you
To sing you a love song

These words that follow
are from his patient heart
waiting for that tomorrow
when they'll will reach your heart

'Tell that pretty young lady
Of the songs I sing about her
Tell that pretty young lady
Of the love I have for her'

I am only a messenger
carrying this message of love
a humble and obedient messenger
waiting till you two fall in love

The month of carnival of all the year,
When Nature lets the wild earth go its way,
And spend whole seasons on a single day.
The spring-time holds her white and purple dear;
