Johnny Walker Poem by Dorsey Baker

Johnny Walker

He wore a top hat and coat
and called himself Johnny Walker
he came straight
through the door
everybody was glad he could make it
and they welcomed him in
you could hear
the ice tumbling in the glasses
the room smelled of strong cigars
fogging everything up
and a trace of women's sweet
perfume could be detected
it was a celebration!
for Johnny Walker
because he was the guest of honor!
