Just A Glance Poem by Kyle Delaney

Just A Glance

Rating: 4.0

Just a glance would have spared me so much pain. To look into your eyes and say how I felt would have been more than I could ever hope for but you look away and turn your head not allowing me to even see your face. Standing right in front of you, heart burning with hope and so many other mixed emotions just waiting for your eyes to meet mine but the moment never comes and then you are gone. Just a glance was all I asked for, but you looked away. I’m left staring at the side of your head in anticipation as time seemed to go by so slowly but when it was over it felt like no time at all. Just a glance would have changed everything. Just to see your eyes one more time would be like staring into unending fortune and beauty. I had so many chances to say how I felt but I was a coward and now I feel so alone again. I feel so much regret and pain and it could have been so different if I was only spared a mere glance, my last chance to say I love you.
