Just Because You'Ve Never Been Published Poem by Francis Duggan

Just Because You'Ve Never Been Published

Just because you've never been published and others your praises don't sing
Of the sort of writer that you are it really does not say a thing
Some great writers have died unpublished and fame for them came far too late
In death their legends keep on growing and them we do now celebrate
Some great writers died as paupers they lived life in the hardest way
In life not recognized for their talents yet they are celebrated today
Not everyone can be a winner that's something we have heard before
If publishers reject your manuscript you are just one of a million or more
Who every year know of rejection but they don't feel all hope has gone
Of their work ever being published they keep trying and keep penning on
You are an undiscovered talent but your type of person not rare
There are many good unpublished writers of such we are all too aware
So at publishers rejection don't feel too despondent good things come to those who do wait
Eventually you may get published and your's may be a name to celebrate.
