Just In Case You Think I Am Loco Poem by Alexandre Nodopaka

Just In Case You Think I Am Loco

I am lucky to have a very long and wide
L-shaped veranda on 2 sides of my home.
The LL is 50 Long x 25 WLong xa 6ft.

wide walkway all around.
It is filled end to end and width with many
hanging and potted real and artificial

plants to the point that one must weave
through AND make themselves very thin
to be able to wiggle through.

Now I am 3 weeks into my bedroom ceiling
decorating project. My wife begs me to keep
it only on my side but the design has a vaster

ambition. That's another 250 sq.ft. I try to outdo
Da Vinci! & screw God's Universe.
At my age I filled it with toys I never had

on account of WWII. The suspended toys
& jungle life are so frickin' absorbing I spend
hours meditating in my bedroom jungle...

oh! Yeah! I have 3 large-tall artificial trees
in 3 corners with a 7x40 hours audio system
playing a variety of sounds of nature.

that range from rumbling lightning and rain
to crashing ocean waves, seagulls mewing
and to birds echoing in forest groves

and pay attention, I make my wife wear a tail
and wings. When I turn on the Panama ceiling
fan every item oscillates in micro motion.

Nothing dizzying but all the toys subtly
change orientation through micro movement.
Suddenly I take a flight of fancy leaving

you behind with the thought With a flip of
wings he takes off never to be seen again.
And you thought I wasn't loco?
