Just Sitting Here Thinking Poem by christina clemente

I’m just sitting here with my mind crowded with thoughts and ideas.
Can’t seem to sleep much lately and i’m not sure why.
Can it be from the constant yelling i hear?
Or is it from constantly trying to impress you?
Whichever one it is i need it to stop.
The lack of sleep drives me crazy.
If it wasn’t for all the respect i have for you
i would do what i want to do and say the hell with you but i can’t.
You have some kind of aura that won’t let me escape
As if i was sucked into a black hole.
The worst part of it all is that i can’t stop sitting here and thinking.
