Kaleidoscopes And Crystals Poem by Pat CoughlinMawson

Kaleidoscopes And Crystals

Kaleidoscopes and crystals
Possibilities or dreams
Colors in the distance
Of beauty rarely seen

Childlike wonder mirrors
Spreading rainbows on my mind
Inviting me to distant paths
Of many other times

Take the time to ponder
Take the time to see
The beauty and the wonder
Dancing deeply inside me

And if I stay here long enough
I will begin to find
A kaleidoscope of colors
Right inside my mind

Can I take them with me
Can I take my mind
Beyond these earthly pleasures
Where there is no space or time?

Can I take the beauty
That I've worked so hard to see
Can I take my memories
Beyond the ocean seas?

For when my time has come at last
To leave these earthly walls
I'll open up to freedom
And gaze and stare with awe

At kaleidoscopes and crystals
All throughout the land
And fly amidst their colors
And know the larger plan!
