Keep Me Alive Poem by Amanda Larsen

Keep Me Alive

The right second I whispered
A tear blurred the color of your eyes

I held my world in a half burned candle
You held your world in a glass of ice
I held your dreams in an empty bottle
You held my dreams in your loving eyes

Pens write of romance
Pens write of death
Hold on to one dance
Let go of breath

Music will kill me
You bring me life
Music will save me
You're holding knifes

Put out my candle
I'll melt your ice
Empty my bottle
Silent your lies
You call it caring
I call it theft

Intrude my heaven
Destroy my hell
And keep me alive
Just keep me alive

Eat all my happy
Swallow my pain
You call it effort
I call it vain

Mending my past life
Save me from sane
Ordinary broken
Ordinary blame

So keep me alive
Just keep me alive

Apologies from victims
Forgiveness denied
Deny me of prayer
When oceans be burning you will still be there
