Keeping My Memories Alive Poem by Jigmet Angmo

Keeping My Memories Alive

At 4 I was always slow, tryna fit in a world unknown.
New friends or the first I say, playing around shouting my name.
My mom and dad my punching bags, Vegetables I hated them.
Toddler at the candy shop, I'd watch him with some hope.
Chewing gum I swallowed whole, that is how ended that role.
But I'm gonna keep my memories alive.
At 10 I surely knew how to flatter, and turn around.
Competition in a row, minding people was a folklore.
Growing at once was all I wanted, nagging in when not counted.
And that is how ended that role,
But I'm gonna keep my memories alive.
And now at 19 I don't know how its turning out.
Everybody hear me out, am all drenched out and my soul not found.
I'll never fall for lies but choking the truth can pull my life vest.
That is how ended that role,
But I'm gonna keep my memories alive, forever.
