Kiss To Kiss Poem by Susan Oxford

Kiss To Kiss

In the pale light of dawn
when I first become aware,
I feel you lean upon our bed
and gently stroke my hair.

'I love you my Darling'
you whisper in my ear,
You kiss my cheek and tell me
the words I love to hear.

In a while I come to you
and you pull me on your lap,
We kiss again, long this time
as around you my arms wrap.

We both cherish this ritual
of how we start our day,
Before our busy life takes over
and we both go on our way.

And when the day is over
in the darkness of the night,
We kiss and whisper words of love
as we hold each other tight.
