Kite, Kite Oh Kite Poem by Kumarmani Mahakul

Kite, Kite Oh Kite

Rating: 5.0

Kite, Kite oh Kite!
How above are you?
Left to right, right to left
You swing in a queue.

Low to high, high to low
You dance in the sky,
Front to back, back to front
You waddle never cry.

Black to white, white to black
You twist side by side,
Green to yellow, yellow to green
In clouds sometimes hide.

Red to blue, blue to red
You design your body,
Winter to summer, summer to winter
To fly you are ready.

Need to money, money to need
You do ever think,
Money is nectar, money is honey
People want to drink.

Man to man, money to money
Show respect to all,
Lack of money tragedy life
Save only God's mall.

Kite, Kite oh Kite!
Please fly to God,
Connect me through your thread
And make me nod.

You Kite, dear Kite!
Bring money of bliss,
Love, peace, charity, truth
Take nonviolence, God's kiss.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This is the poem for children to read and enjoy along with acquiring knowledge of some opposite words, adjective and some moral qualities. Children also will know the use of money. Addressing to the kite through a child poet expresses that Kite is so above the sky. It does fly sometimes in high, sometimes in low as well as right to left and vice versa. There are different types and colours of kites like black, white, green, yellow red, blue etc. as per the children want to make. Sometime the kites fly so above that these don't seem to people. Poet imagines this sight as if kites hide in the clouds. Children fly kites maximum in the month of winter and summer season. Poet imagines children need money to purchase chocolates, fancy things, toys and many more they like. Poet thinks and says through the child, "Oh kite, we need money, you need money, everybody needs money. Money needs money too means a person of much money with him or her wants to earn more money to quench the will. A person with money is rich and without this is poor. Rich people show respects to rich persons. Money less life is tragedy life that can be mitigated by the God's mall means by the virtuous qualities like bliss, love, peace, charity, truth, nonviolence etc. These qualities can be gained from God's kiss means God's bless." Poet lastly wants to connect with God through Kites and to nod. Poet gets pleasure through the children and their playing and wishes the children to be virtuous. This is the theme of the Poem in brief and it is written in Deogarh, Odisha, India on this day of 18th November,2014. It is dedicated to the people of the World.

This is a poem for children of course. But, the metaphor Kite denotes a deeper layer of meaning.Kite is not only a medium of, symbol of pure joy and innocence. It's a mediator between the desire unfulfilled and the cherished dream.A lovely poem.

Thanks for this lovely poem apparently written for children but has the potential to surcharge the lives of all who seek divine bliss and righteousness in life. The kite connects us with God and His indulgence. Thanks for sharing it. My Favourite Poem.
