Kmc Poem by Amy Lynn

Kmc

You threw it all away
You tossed it out the door
You never looked back
At me breaking on the floor
I called you for help
When I needed support
But the last time that we talked
The conversation was cut short
I was there for you
When you couldn't decide
You said that was 'different'
That I should say 'goodbye'
I wanted to do that
So we could still be friends
But real friends don't make choices
They're there until the end
So no, we haven't spoken in weeks
And you missed my birthday
There is nothing left to harbor
I've got nothing left to say
I still love you KMC
And I know I always will
I wish that I could talk to you
To see if you love me still..

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Kaitlan Mellanie Clark was my best friend for a while.. Met her in 7th grade, but we didn't really become close until we got the same job at the airport. She dated my current bf in high school, and she doesn't like the way he treats me, so she kinda just wrote me off.

(side note: This was written in 2011. I am no longer with that guy, and KMC and I are back to being best friends!)
