Know Me Poem by Matthew Petranovich

Know Me

What do you know,
or what do you think you know,
but one thing i do know,
is you don't know me,
You see all these poems that I write,
you can see all the pain
I feel inside.
You can probably relate,
but one thing I know is if,
you think you know me,
there's a mistake,
because you don't.
You've never walked in my shoes,
a thousand miles down the road,
oh, this journey,
is really getting old.
I don't even know who I am,
anymore,
I once knew of me,
as free as can be,
but now I don't even know me.
Who am I?
You call my name,
as if you like me,
but no,
for I can see,
you don't know me,
for as you can see,
I don't even know me.
