La plus-part de mes Partisans
Disent que ma paresse est grande,
Et que je laisse en mes vieux ans
Seicher les fleurs de ma guirlande.

Je me tais et voudrois changer
Le nom que Parnasse me donne
Avecque celui d'un Berger
Qui ne fut connu de personne.

Ceux qui jugent les beaux Espris,
Osent dire que mes ecris
Manquent de force et d'artifice.

Raison, viens dessiller leurs yeux ;
Et pour montrer leur injustice,
Sors du tombeau de nos Ayeux.
