Last Chance Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

I wish I could be done away with
My face should be turned ugly with broken teeth
I have no right to live in this beautiful world
Why is that I can’t see goodness and act bold?

I think many times about personal nature
Why is that it always blocks my future?
Makes me unpopular to look fool
Where as others move fast and look successful

I have thought over and came to the conclusion
There shall have to be patience sans confusion
Total smartness in movement with restraint
No use of bad language and tongue almost silent

Many people make inroad with use of mild language
Their presentation is with precise move to manage
They create impact with ever lasting impression
People have no chance or doubt to ask for concession

I often spoil the gain at the nick of time
I fail to control the anger at real time
“Person should compromise if necessary”
That shall help sometimes if not daily

Alright then I shall have last chance
I shall make use of it at once
I shall try to be good and peaceful
At any rate I need to be respectful
