Last Words Of A Poet
The last words that I ever say
will just be words that fade away
after my loves are gone.
For they are the only ones who knew
how these words that I did speak
would leave as all words do.
But still I will say them with grateful praise
so my loves will remember all their days
my joy on each new dawn.
For they were the ones whose eyes did see
all of the words I wrote
and left for them joyfully.
