Leave The Company Of Illiterates, Even If You Get Handful Of Wealth! Poem by Dr.V.K. Kanniappan

Leave The Company Of Illiterates, Even If You Get Handful Of Wealth!

Rating: 5.0

Controlling the desire that occurs
…through the five senses and to avoid
recollecting the same thought is pleasant!

Even if you are getting handful of wealth,
…leaving the company of illiterates
is pleasant!

Not to be in association with the people
…who have unsteady mind and unbalanced heart;
and to leave them is pleasant!

After reading this I regretted that I don't know Tamil, otherwise I would have read the original poem. If the translation is so nice how beautiful would be the original poem!
